weekend recap: home sweet home

Happy Monday my wonderful readers! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I was back home for my Mom's first art show! Unfortunately, when I got home she had already purchased dessert and I was unable to make my desired strawberry shortcake. I guess there's always Christmas.

Anyways, I always knew my Mom was a creative person -- given that she redecorated the house at any chance. However, I never knew her talent expanded to the fine arts.

She picked up a paint brush for the first time in May, and has since produced some of the most amazing pieces of art. Her art teacher chose about 12 paintings of hers to display, and by the end of the night almost all of them sold! Can you believe it??

Below are some pictures from the show, and I hope you all enjoy her artwork. She has found her passion in life, and I couldn't be more proud of her. Love you Mama!

My favorite piece -- sorry for the bad picture quality. Isn't this so beautiful??

I hope you all have a wonderful week. Stay tuned for some exciting guest posts coming up in then next few weeks from some of my favorite bloggers including:
