Sorry for being a bad blogger yesterday - between getting in late Sunday night, and the 3-hour Bachelorette finale, blogging was just not happening. 

But to make up for it, I've included several photos from my weekend in SF!

I'm off to San Francisco this weekend to celebrate my brother's fiancées wedding shower! I can't wait to meet more of her family and friends, and spend a much needed weekend away. 

And because I'm super nice, and I don't ever take myself too seriously, here is all of us at the Golden Gate two years ago...I can't smile when the sun is in my face. It's an issue. But an issue that provides lots and lots of laughs.

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had as fabulous a weekend as I did. 

I finally ate at this super cute restaurant by my apartment called The Peasantry. Their tagline is "elevated street food", and it was deeeeelicious. 

Truffle fries and brussels sprouts salad.

Lamb sausage roll. Out. Of. Control.

Macadamia nut churros with hibiscus and white chocolate dipping sauce. Woa.

I squeezed in some cuddle time with Penny Lane. She loves her new toy, and looks sad because I had to leave and she wanted to play more. Poor girl :(

And, the highlight of the weekend was #bloggerblitzchicago! The lovely AV hosted yet another wonderful soirée at an insane rooftop bar in Chicago - Market.  I attended the NYC blitz last year, and met so many wonderful ladies - and this was just as fabulous.

Hi lovelies! 

I'm back after a bit of a blogging break, and I missed y'all! I've had such a great week spending time with friends and family. 

I've never missed a 4th of July in my hometown, and even though it was 100 degrees, I still stayed outside most of the day.

Dinner at my fave greek place in Chicago, followed by a free Sister Hazel concert in Lincoln Park. 

I bought an iPad, and it's life changing. I manage four social media accounts for work now, and this purchase was completely necessary.

Finally, my parents surprised us and rented a lake house in Wisconsin for the month of August. Hello, lover.

It's already Monday? Ugh. 

I had a fabulous weekend in Chicago, and drank lots and lots of this.

Got some goodies from my mama from France. Lucky lucky me.

Hung out with my bestie from college. No pictures were taken, which is probably a good thing since we started drinking at 5pm. 

Saw my little Penny Lane. 

I also celebrated a friends birthday on Saturday and didn't go to bed until the sun was up. It was so fun, and made me feel like I was in college again. Le sigh.

My favorite holiday is this week, and I'm super annoyed that it falls on a Wednesday. Oh well. I'll still enjoy it!

Happy Monday! 

Today I start my new job in Chicago - eek!! I'm so excited, and nervous. I feel like it's the first day of high school or something. 

I had one of those perfect weekends. I never wanted it to end. 

My apartment is 100% unpacked and decorated. I'll share photos soon, but here is a sneak peak.

I spent all of Saturday in my bed watching SNL, and sleeping. Perfection.  I stumbled across this ridiculous skit, and can't stop laughing.

Dinner with my besties at my place, followed by the bars.

Brunch with the fam for Father's Day, and snuggles with my silly puppy.

As predicted, this weekend was just lovely. 

Dinner with this lady at my new favorite restaurant, Sunda. Thank you Alex for introducing me. The rock shrimp was life-changing, and I am still drooling over it. And yes, I already have a reservation again this weekend. Viv - are you moving here yet?

Continued the fun for my best friends birthday where my new favorite necklace made it's second appearance of the weekend. Get it here (pink is sold out - just the natural color left)

In other news, I squatted at my new apartment. No bed - just blankets. Definitely not high on my list of things to do again. Thank god the movers come Wednesday.

I ended the weekend celebrating my cousin's graduation from graduate school (wore my necklace, again)- Congrats Lauri! We indulged in this delicious brownie sundae. I'm totally a fan of dessert with brunch.

Per usual, I hung out with this silly rascal.

friday catch-up

This. Week. Was. Insane.

I accepted a job offer doing social media and account management at a large Chicago agency. Feeling very blessed. 

I went to Iowa for a mini vaca and saw some minor league baseball. Fun times for all.

I signed a lease for an apartment and move in next WEDNESDAY. 

Today I pick up my keys and start moving some stuff in. Yay!

I'll be spending the weekend with one of my favorite ladies who is in town - Viv! She was the first blogger I met, and we became dear friends while I lived in NYC. So so so happy she's visiting Chicago. I secretly have a plan to convince her and the hubs to stay here...
